I have added libjack-dev to Build-Depends and now ./configure shows 
"jack" among the Enabled indevs. The jack package's libjack0.shlibs 
file adds dependencies to either the libjack-jackd2-0 and the 
libjack-0.116 libraries with precedence on the former. So everything 
seems alright.
