Below shouled work (written by memory, so might have missed some steps):

  # aptitude install sudo git-buildpackage cowbuilder
  # adduser myself sudo
  # cd /usr/local
  # git clone git://source.jones.dk/bin

  $ localcowbuilder-create sid
  $ cd my-package
  $ localgitcowdebuild sid --git-ignore-new
  $ git dch -a
  $ dch -r
  $ git commit -m "Prepare for release: Update changelog." -a
  $ localgitcowdebuild sid --git-sign
