Current status of earcandy

Hello everybody,

given the current status of earcandy (it looks dead, there's no activity
upstream since 2010 and plus it's now RC-buggy), I'd intend to remove
it from Wheezy.
What do you think about that? Is there anyone still interested in maintaning
such dead piece of software?
