However,

It seems pretty clear to me that the majority of those people who
kindly took some time to reflect and speak about the matter would
second a switch over to FFmpeg, so here is what will happen next:

 * Team members will have time until mid-week to speak up in favor or
against this move.
 * If nothing relevant happens, I'll be sending a brief informal
announce to debian-devel to share our opinion.

Only one question now remains: is this team going to maintain FFmpeg?
