<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Verdana">Still annoying: I have to "hold" an old (insecure) vlc version in aptitude to be able to stream videos to my dbox (which needs mpeg2-stream). </FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Verdana">This since end of last year (2007) :( - with several unwanted updates and manual downgrades again.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Verdana">Is there no chance to get a fully functional version of vlc/ffmpeg from the non-free repository?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Verdana">Download and compiling a patched, own version isn't really a solution when there's comfortable way to do it via aptitude, insn't it?!</FONT></P>
