    Just to make mention: during a aptitude full-upgrade session VLC was

    removed in it's entirety and upon attempting to re-add it major

    packages were required to be removed including other a-v related

    packages and the gnome desktop. I have tried other possible

    solutions and none seem to be satisfactory in any sense.<br>
