retitle 283778 nagios-common: update-nagios breaks postinst
thanks

hi,

looking more closely at this bug, it seems that the problem you
were having was not because the user nagiosadmin existed, but
because the update-nagios script was silently failing in the
postinst script. the last thing update-nagios does before exiting
is /etc/init.d/nagios reload, so if that returns non-zero, it would
cause it to exit non-zero, which would cause the postinst to fail.
placing an 'exit 0' or combining the postinst script call with
"|| true" should resolve this problem, which is what i will put
in cvs shortly.

there have been a couple other bugs related to nagios failing to
reload, which supports this theory, all which have been fixed. so,
i propose that with the combination of these bug fixes, along with
preventing of update-nagios from breaking the postinst script, that this
bug be closed in the next upload of nagios, if that's okay with you.
