Oh, its simple, now where it is integrated in the debian/.

d-e-p=dpatch-edit-patch

d-e-p existing-patch-name gets you in a subshell to edit the files for the
named patch. All patches up to this one are applied. e-p-n needs to be
in 00list. Exit it with 0 to get d-e-p to update the patch-file.
This keeps the comments in the patchfile alive.

d-e-p new-patch-name base-patch gets you in a subshell to edit the files
for the new patch. All patches upto (and including) base-patch are
applied to your new working dir. base-patch needs to be in 00list.
After the exit 0 you should edit the 00list and include the patch
at the right position, and edit the .dpatch file and fix the
      header.

If you ever think you made something wrong in your subshell type exit
230 to leave without touching the patches.

And should there ever be the need for architecture-specific patches -
put them in 00list.$architecture or read man dpatch -> "Adding dpatch
scriptlets to a package" :)

Ahh, if a patch fails for some reason, look into debian/patched, there
you find the output of patch for all the dpatch files.

Normally the above should be all you need. Anything important for you I
missed to mention? :)
