Hi,

I wonder about the database support in nagios packages.
As said the upstream developper,

"Native DB Support Dropped - Native support for storing various types
of data (status, retention, comment, downtime, etc.) in MySQL and
PostgreSQL has been dropped. Stop whining. I expect someone will
develop an alternative using the new event broker sometime in the
near future. Besides, DB support was not well implemented and
dropping native DB support will make things easier for newbies to
understand (one less thing to figure out)."

Where does the code of nagios-mysql (2:1.3-cvs.20050402-2) come from ?
Is it a 3rd party code, a debian specific, port from 1.x source, a
fork ?

I think some explanation need to be done and included in package
documentation.

By the way, it seems to work quite well ;)

Thanks !
