mauer:/usr/local/games/pos# dpkg --list | grep lsb
ii lsb-base 3.1-24 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init script function
ii lsb-release 3.1-24 Linux Standard Base version reporting utilit

I noticed that there's no pattern and also that it sometimes just needs
some more time. E.g. the init-script has ended, nagios runs a little and
then stops.

> running the init script with set -x?

do you mean:
/etc/init.d/nagios2 stop -x
?
