Package: nsca
Version: 2.7.2
Severity: minor
During install of nsca I got these warnings:
...
Selecting previously deselected package nsca.
Unpacking nsca (from .../archives/nsca_2.7.2_i386.deb) ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
Setting up libmcrypt4 (2.5.8-3.1) ...
Setting up nsca (2.7.2) ...
update-rc.d: warning: nsca start runlevel arguments (none) do not match LSB Default-Start values (2 3 4 5)
update-rc.d: warning: nsca stop runlevel arguments (2 3 4 5) do not match LSB Default-Stop values (0 1 6)
Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/nsca ...
/etc/rc2.d/K16nsca -> ../init.d/nsca
/etc/rc3.d/K16nsca -> ../init.d/nsca
/etc/rc4.d/K16nsca -> ../init.d/nsca
/etc/rc5.d/K16nsca -> ../init.d/nsca
...
I am not sure whether this is due to not following LSB correctly and/or the
fact that I recently upgraded sysv-rc (now version 2.87dsf-6), which pulled in
insserv.
So far, no ill effects have been observed though.
These version numbers might be handy too:
ii sysv-rc 2.87dsf-6 System-V-like runlevel change mech
ii insserv 1.12.0-13 Tool to organize boot sequence usi
