Package: ntp
Version: 1:4.2.6+dfsg-1
Severity: normal
Upgrading ntp gave this message:
Setting up ntp (1:4.2.6+dfsg-1) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/ntp ...
insserv: warning: current stop runlevel(s) (0 1 6) of script `ntp' overwrites defaults (empty).
Starting NTP server: ntpd.
And the stop symlinks indeed seem to remain:
~$ ls -l /etc/rc?.d/*ntp
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Jul 27 2009 /etc/rc0.d/K01ntp -> ../init.d/ntp
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Jul 27 2009 /etc/rc1.d/K01ntp -> ../init.d/ntp
