Package: ntp
Version: 1:4.2.6.p3+dfsg-3
Followup-For: Bug #601519

Dear Maintainer,

This bug is still occurring on Debian testing. I have several routers
that are running NTP on VLANs on top of a bonded network interface. If
there are no other IPv6 capable devices on a paricular VLAN, the
interface is left tentative/detection failed, and ntpd will try to bind,
failing with:

Feb 22 15:47:25 host ntpd[24064]: bind(38) AF_INET6
fe80::be30:5bff:fedf:9980%18#123 flags 0x11 failed: Cannot assign
requested address
Feb 22 15:47:25 host ntpd[24064]: unable to create socket on interface
(474312) for fe80::be30:5bff:fedf:9980#123
Feb 22 15:47:25 host ntpd[24064]: failed to init interface for address
fe80::be30:5bff:fedf:9980

ntpd seems to be trying to bind about every 10 seconds, so the amount
of log noise is very great.
