Hi Randall,

found a patch here:

	http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=110088

Followed the instructions and was able to build at least a module that
loaded. However kdm did not start and gave me a black and stale display.

My workaround is dirty but works. I installed a self compiled
nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-2.6.25-2-486_96.43.05-1_i386.deb
without the applied patch and replaced the nvidia.ko with the patched
one. Now kdm started successfully.

I prefer to have a patched *deb package. Poorly I have no idea how to
create it, how to add the patch to the nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-source
package.

Just for your information. Please let me know any solution.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
