Understood.  After removing it, I didn't remember which version I had
installed, so couldn't set the appropriate version number, and didn't
know if a newer version would fix it.  Reportbug said there were no
outstanding bugs on the package, so I went ahead and filed the bug.

Thanks for your (and all the Debian NVIDIA maintainers') work on this.
