Meanwhile I also found Ubuntu packaging for Omap3 graphics drivers [4] (used
for example in the Pandora-handheld).

For the Tegra drivers Julian Andres Klode did an ITP (#634100) on Saturday.

Both Omap-Projects provide Ubuntu graphics driver packages. From what I've
seen the whole proprietary driver business is somehow handled differently on
the Ubuntu side. Therefore I didn't look to much into it - it was more meant
to illustrate the existence of the problem, glx-alternatives solves for the
OpenGL world.
