There is not much we can do about such problems in the non-free drivers.
Please try the versions available in testing and experimental, too, and
see if the problem is reproducible there as well.
You could also try other kernel versions, testing older Xorg versions
would be a bit more difficult.

Please check the nvidia forum for existing bug reports of your problem
and add more information or open a new report.
