I am the original author of module-assistant, thanks.

a) minor detail, the readme does not mention --force, although it should not be required.

b) For 4.7.0-rc7-amd64 it seems to compile, indeed; that is the FIRST "success"
I have seen in the last couple of days. However, 4.7.0-rc7-amd64 is from
Experimental.

c) I tried a similar command with 4.6.0-1-amd64 (Sid kernel) and it did NOT work. Now
after the previous build succeeded, I tried again, failure. Tried for
4.7.0+ (the active kernel) again, failure. Tried again for
4.6.0-1-amd64, seems to compile now. Not sure what's going on here, I
have not upgraded unrelated packages. Log file attached, maybe this helps.

d) it is still not building for my custom kernels build from vanilla
source. But this is basically the same configuration I used last year
and the driver was compiling fine back then. Are there any new special
requirements? Config attached.

Regards,
Eduard.
