That can't be long, since -2 and -3 have been in unstable for a few days
only :-)

unlikely

That's the ongoing "transition" from the nvidia-provided *glvnd-nvidia*
libraries to the separately packaged libglvnd, that is also being used
by mesa now.

Your dpkg status file might be interesting (to recreate the situation)
as well as the command you used and the (error) output you got. Please
file a bug, makes it easier to track this.
