I've tested the package. The no-reentrancy problem seems solved, so i
think it is okay.

P.S.

I saw you changed to lowercase the first capital letter of the short
description. So I've looked at the developer's reference, and found
the reason: 'Since the synopsis is a clause, rather than a full
sentence, we recommend that it neither start with a capital'

By the way, reading the chapter 6.2 of the developer's reference,
I found some other recommendations:
1) 'Use "PostScript", not "Postscript" or "postscript"'. 
2) 'We recommend that you add the URL for the package's
   home page to the package description in debian/control'.

I suppose they are minor recommendations (most Debian packages
don't follow them, AFAIK). Anyway, do you think it is convenient that 
we apply them to Octplot and other DOG packages?
