Would you be willing to take the lead on this, please?  Although I doubt
that a new octaviz package would be eligible for ionclusion in 2.1r1, it
is maybe worth trying to ask the release manager (is he still Martin
Schulze).

If that does not work, we might provide a backported version for sarge in
the DOG website.  For that, it is necessary to rebuild the package in a
sarge chroot.  For the moment, I have only a testing and a unstable
chroots in my system.  Any volunteer?
