[Pkg-octave-devel] octave-forge FTBFS on hppa

The ginac package is tied to the KDE ABI transition, and octave-forge
depends on libginac1.3c2a.  The octave-forge package will not be able to
enter testing because it is waiting for octave2.1 to build on hppa.
However, octave2.1 FTBFS on hppa because gnuplot is not available.
Looking at the gnuplot buildd log I see that the failure is to to
problems in configuring the following packages: tetex-base, tetex-bin,
tetex-extra, and texinfo.  

Are there chances to get this mess fixed any soon?
