Bug#385519 ("octaviz: please migrate to VTK 5") is open since quite a
while and the members of the Debian Octave Group do not seem to have time
to address it.

I am hereby requesting help for fixing this bug.  Beware, the octaviz
package takes a very long time to build and the upstream CVS sources
(available at octaviz.sf.net) will probably be needed to make it work
with VTK5.
