I will talk with upstream about this, at a later time. It's probably just
telling Jonathan that "cvs export" is better suited for the tarball.

After the issue with octave-forge packages have been solved (that is, after we
have an idea on how to build packages for them). Reason is quite simple:
time. I wanted to rewrite Octaviz's build system and actually started with
it, but cmake beats me every time (the idea is to have just one .oct file per
directory and using Octave's autoload function; this should bring the build
time down).

Probably, but I didn't try.

I'm currently investigating octave-forge, which I consider more important.

About the upload: the build worked within an amd64 chroot, I'm building right
now for x86 and will test the package. Shouldn't take that long.
