That's it, basically. You should check for bugs in the packages and if
there are patches, whether they are still necessary (the build will
break if the patches don't apply, so you will see it anyway).

Yes, but you need to check the archives for mails from Joerg Jaspert. I
don't remember which packages were problematic.
