Great. As I already told you, I'm willing to do most of the packaging  
work for Dynare.

I suggest the following timetable:

1) Upload my initial debian packaging to the SVN
2) Remove all the dirty Matlab tricks, and do various cleanups
3) This would result in a clean Octave-only package, which could  
become the initial release
4) Add some helpers for Matlab, as I suggested earlier

I have subscribed to the two Pkg-octave mailing lists, and created an  
alioth account under the username "sebastien-guest".
