I've figured out a way to update this file myself.

The latest centralized release of octave-forge packages was done in Jun
2009(!!!).
I think Soren took over only after this date. Since then, packages were
released only in an individual basis.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%20Forge%20Packages/Individual%20Package%20Releases/

The debian watch file
     http://dehs.alioth.debian.org/wwiz_detail.php?id=33493299&type=watch
contains this:

version=3
http://octave.sourceforge.net/packages.html \
     http://downloads\.sourceforge\.net/octave/nan-([\d.]+)\.tar\.gz\?download

However http://octave.sourceforge.net/packages.html yields a 404 error.
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/octave resolves to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/
and http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/nan-2.3.0.tar.gz
results in this error

The "/nan-2.3.0.tar.gz" file could not be found or is not
available. Please select another file.

Probably, this was caused by changes at directory structure of the
sourceforge release system.
Because of this changes at sourceforge, it seems that the debian watch
file might need some modification, as well.

I like to make it as simple as possible. This is currently not the case.
I'm trying to keep the following links updated, each need manual
interaction.
[1] https://mloss.org/software/view/206/
[2] http://biosig-consulting.com/matlab/NaN/
[3]

I would appreciate, if we can find a way to simplify this. What is your
suggestion for updating the debian octave-nan package with a smaller
turn-around time ?
Is there a way that I can trigger the generation of a new octave-nan
package (perhaps from the SVN-repository) for debian ?
