Hi, you seem to have misunderstood what this mailing list is about.
This is the *Debian* Octave Group, specifically about how to package
Octave for Debian. If you do not wish to install the Debian operating
system and use its Octave packages, then please redirect your question
to the general Octave mailing list at

For what it's worth, I think "pkg install" from within Octave should
do what you want, but I've never installed Octave packages this way,
so I'm not sure.
