Package: octave-data-smoothing
Version: 1.2.0-3
Severity: grave
Tags: patch
Justification: renders package unusable

regdatasmooth currently fails to run, with
   error: Invalid call to fminunc.

I can reproduce the error in Demonstration 1 from
http://octave.sourceforge.net/data-smoothing/function/regdatasmooth.html,
but it also occurs for a trival example such as
    regdatasmooth( [1:5], [1:5] )

Since regdatasmooth is the chief function in octave-data-smoothing,
this bug essentially renders the package unusable.

But happily, upstream seems to be already on to it, it appears to be
fixed in the latest version 1.2.3.
