[Pkg-octave-devel] Bug#675509: octave: fltk does not work (almost)

One more data point that is maybe related. Since it seems that the
problem comes from some synch problem, it may be interesting what I just
observed.

Due to a java server that was probably generating too much network load,
I had a system where all four cores were used at 50% load by ksoftirqd.
In this situation, launching octave from inside Emacs with run-octave
often fails. The background process is created, and it even receives
commands (I can close it by issuing a 'quit' in the inferior octave
buffer) but it does not interact well with Emacs, specifically, Emacs
does not show Octave's output. This behaviour is not deterministic:
after trying an avaerage of two or three times, I get a working inferior
octave subprocess. This defective behaviour disappears when I stop the
java process and consequently the ksoftirqd processes.
