I'm having issues with the tarball, or rather with the sha1 sum of it.
The problem is the same as in 
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=467288#22

The sha1 hash in the .id file for 2.3.50 is
1dfdf7ba5651c7ee167104eec37a05d1c736defb
but the corresponding commit is
9e0a035de60706560f85ab982effe6e4b480ac19.

I have changed this and the re-generated tarball has the same md5 hash
as the tarball from SF, so this seems to be correct. the question is now
what has happened here (I don't deem it too important, I just want to
avoid double work).
