As I've said many times, I think talking about "OFED in Debian" is
really asking the wrong question.  In my opinion, the right thing for
Debian to do is to include the latest upstream versions of the various
relevant packages, and to integrate any configuration or init scripts
into the appropriate Debian locations.

If suitable upstream releases are missing or if forward or backward
compatibility is broken, then complain loudly to upstream.

I do have a few slightly update packages I need to finish up and have
sponsored, but I don't think the current state of what's in Debian for
the kernel or for my userspace packages is problematic.
