Hi all,
I started with infiniband in 2011 and running a 4 node storage cluster
over infiniband (glusterfs rdma) since then on squeeze.
I'm using unofficial packages (deb http://realloc.spb.ru/ofed/ squeeze
main) and following releases:
ii ofa-kernel-modules-2 1.5.2-2+2.6.32-31 InfiniBand kernel modules
for Linux (kernel 2.6.32-5-amd
ii opensm 3.3.7-OFED-1.5.2-2 An Infiniband subnet manager
ii ofed 1.5.2-2 OpenFabrics Infiniband
Enterprise Distribution
ii ofed-docs 1.5.2-2 Documentation for OFED
Infiniband software
ii librdmacm1 1.0.13-OFED-1.5.2-2 A library for managing
RDMA connections
ii libibcm1 1.0.5-OFED-1.5.2-2 InfiniBand Communication
Manager (CM) library
ii libibdm1 1.5.4-0.1.g0464fe6-O InfiniBand network
diagnostic library
ii libibmad5 1.3.6-OFED-1.5.2-2 Infiniband Management
Datagram (MAD) library
ii libibnetdisc5 1.5.7-OFED-1.5.2-2 Infiniband diagnostics library
ii libibumad3 1.3.6-OFED-1.5.2-2 InfiniBand Userspace
Management Datagram (uMAD) library
ii libibverbs1 1.1.4-0.14.gb6c138b- A library for direct
userspace use of RDMA (InfiniBand/i
ii ibverbs-utils 1.1.4-0.14.gb6c138b- Examples for the
libibverbs library
ii libumad2sim0 0.5-0.1.g327c3d8-OFE An InfiniBand fabric simulator
I want to upgrade to wheezy in the next time. Followed the discussions
here about newer packages in wheezy, which was not possible because of
the feature freeze.
So what is the preferred way to getting newer versions for wheezy? Self
backporting from experimental (e.g. opensm)? Or has anyone done this
already and could provide unofficial packages?
If I remember correctly I needed formerly the 'ofa-kernel-modules'
although some modules are in the vanilla kernel. Is this still correct?
Thanx for any advice!
Regard
Thomas
