Hi Soren,

Have you read up yet on back-config (introduced with 2.3?).  It allows 
on-the-fly acl changes, and modifications to the schema.   Schema 
manipulations  are somewhat limited in 2.3, but will be more fully 
supported in 2.4.  The general direction is to get rid of slapd.conf 
altogether.
