I have a only one server in 32-bit and I get the same error with hdb:

hdb_db_open: database "dc=ch-stbrieuc,dc=fr": unclean shutdown detected; attempting recovery.
hdb_db_open: database "dc=ch-stbrieuc,dc=fr": recovery skipped in read-only mode. Run manual recovery if errors are encountered.
