Good idea. The Groff/troff error is after all about 'cannot break line'. Spaces may cure that.

I just copied the page to a tempfile, handedited the spaces in and
tried 'man -l /tmp/MPI_Comm_f2c.3' which looks considerably better,
and linebroken, than the default.

I'd say please commit this.
