Sorry for not replying earlier! I missed your email between a bunch of
others. Open MPI is currently not very well maintained, unfortunately.
I'm going to triage some bugs during this week.

Thanks a lot for the heads-up! If you're using unstable and have a
strong need for the patch, I would consider backporting it. But I'd
prefer to wait for the new upstream release, since the next upload
probably needs to be coordinated with other maintainers. Just let me
know.
