[Pkg-openssl-devel] Debian Crypto Export

Hi,

I'm trying to find out when/where submissions are made to BIS for
Debian's crypto packages (and I hoped the openssl devel team would know
or could send me in the right direction.)

Essentially,
http://www.debian.org/legal/cryptoinmain

indicates that the "publicly available" exceptions to EAR 740 apply (and
I completely agree that they do) however, those exceptions still require
BIS notification.

(Note: BIS is the newer name or reorganization of BXA which is referred
to in the link above.)

The source (or location of source) would be emailed to:
crypt at bis.doc.gov, and likely also to: -enc at nsa.gov

(Also note, openssl requires that patches be submitted to this address
prior to being sent to openssl upstream so this may also be part of your
standard patch intake process.)

I'm especially interested in any mailman archive or other archive
indicating when submissions are made (though to my knowledge no
bookkeeping mandates logging this info.)

Any information you can provide or clarity you can add would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.

-dave
