[Pkg-opt-media-team] Bug#598275: dvdisaster harms my system

Hi all,

I have just released version 0.72.2.

Probing for driver compatibility is tricky, but this
version should pick the right one automatically under
most circumstances.

It would be nice if Stephan could verify this.

FTR: done.

From investigating this issue I also decided that I'd like to make the
currently optional SG_IO ioctl the default in dvdisaster 0.79.3 and
beyond. The CDROM_SEND_PACKET driver seems to get less attention in the
current kernel development (as we have experienced with Stephans
configuration), and I see no technical reasons hinting against the switch.
Any comments?

Cheers,
   Carsten
