Oh, indeed, meant to note that. In fact that's how we install it, though
the drawback is it winds up in a sub-directory of /usr/share/pear which
is not included in the class names, so it's not entirely PSR-0 compliant
when installed that way.

I notice you (Debian) are carrying an older version which isn't PSR-0
compliant at all.

I've filed an RH bug report to have it moved to be PSR-0 compliant:

it would help interoperability if the Debian package could be bumped and
moved in the same way, I think.

Indeed, although they dropped it from v2.4.
