Thanks for the offer, but hacking Parrot is not really in my plans :-)

A while ago, I've sent a request to join Debian Parrot Packages on Alioth  as 
ddumont-guest. Looks like this request was forgotten somewhere. Alioth refuses 
to let me send another request. 

Can you do something about it ?

Sorry, I meant a VCS (version control system) instead of old CVS. 

I know mercurial and svn, and I don't mind learning git.

IMHO, since upstream Parrot uses git, using git for package files on alioth 
makes sense.
