Yes sure, I'm going to add comments to explain why do we do what we do.

My last changes are required to be able to fix MA commit I did last upload. I'm
going to try to explain this so that you can understand how it works and can
challenge me for a better solution

I completely agree with you. Maybe we can simplify things. I'm not sure how, but
probably when I'm done with commenting the rules file you will be able to
propose alternatives.
