Indeed. I quickly built a backport of debhelper_6.0.0 (and 6.0.1 just
showed up), but had not installed it yet.

--svn-builder=pdebuild with no args fails in the same way (I threw
pbuilder in there from memory, but looking at my notes, I was using
=pdebuild from a recent hint from Jose on debian-perl.)

svn-buildpackage --svn-dont-clean \
--svn-builder="pdebuild --use-pdebuild-internal"

works perfectly without the need for the backport package - just need to
make sure the build tree is clean to begin with. Thanks, Roberto, I
appreciate the extra info. Funky hybrid boxes drive me a little nuts ;)
