Upstream hasn't responded yet, shall we upload in the meantime?

AFAICS this line (cluck "Your perl") is not in svn.

Othwise the patch looks (to my ignorant eyes) quite similar to Don's
second proposal.
 

I guess we should decide if we wait for upstream (and set the package
to UNRELEASED) or finish and upload soon.
