It just seems

is describing a code example, but one does not see the example on the
man page.

Ah, looking at /usr/share/perl5/WWW/Mechanize.pm we see he is talking
about something he does in the code... well then in the POD it should
say instead "This function adds" instead of "We add".

OK, never mind.
