I hope you were successfully working on your thesis. :-)

When stumbling upon this bug since one of the packages I'm caring for
(libtfbs-perl) depends from pdl and does not migrate I was wondering
whether you might like to consider team maintenance in Debian Science
team. This would enable others to commit to the packaging. This does
not warrant any fix for this very problem per se but it has turned out
that it was possible to safe packages in the past when the main
maintainer was busy. (I also have put pkg-perl-maintainers in CC in
case these might be interested.)

BTW, since the build error says:

dpkg --build $(pwd)/debian/tmp ..
dpkg-deb: parse error, in file `/build/buildd/pdl-2.2.1/debian/tmp/DEBIAN/control' near line 6 package `pdl':
`Depends' field, missing package name, or garbage where package name expected
make: *** [binary-arch] Error 2

I wonder how this should be caused by a architecture dependant problem
with type sizes.

Kind regards

       Andreas.
