Hi Guillem,

Yes, indeed; this bug is quite long enough already :) I've refiled
Niko's plan (which is still, as far as I know, "just" in need
of implementation, as two new bugs, #827074 and #827075). I don't
think that it would take a lot of work to implement, so I'm hopeful
that we can get this resolved before too much longer.

(I'm still very aware that I was the original instigator of the
much-despised warning, so I'd like to see the back of it as much
as anyone :)
