I'm not really sure I'm very enthusiastic about this idea, as
dpt-gen-itp is not "people new to ITPs" but more for experienced
packages who know what they are doing and when/how to use it and when
not ... but I've added a slightly changed version of your patch in
git now. -- Let's see what others say.
