/me confesses he mostly uses gqview, and wrote that instead of gthumb,
sorry about that. :)

There is git-debimport in the gitpkg package. I've had some troubles
with it (but with very old versions). I guess we could just try that and
only keep the debian branch. I'll have a look during the night.

I can handle the initial import so that you just have to concentrate on
basic git usage for now, I'll let you know once I'm done with importing
it.
