Hello,

I have built packages of today's enblend CVS HEAD (actually AFAIK the
last upstream change was on 2008-07-21) an have placed them on
http://www.bebt.de/debian/enblend/

Changelog looks like this:
-------------------------
 enblend (3.1~cvs20080801+dfsg-0.1) experimental; urgency=low

 * New upstream cvs snapshot.
 * Update build-depends.
   + Add zlib1g-dev, libjpeg62-dev, libpng12-dev,
     although they currently would be pulled in by other build-depends.
   + Add libopenexr-dev and pkg-config.
 * (Mindless) update of debian/patches/type_mismatch.dpatch.
 * Fix segfault by reverting the respective patch.
   debian/patches/segfault.sf2027314.dpatch
 * Add debian/README.dfsgify, describing how the tarball was built.
 * Patch m4/ax_check_glut.m4 to get rid of unnecesary linking against -lICE
   -lSM -lXmu -lXi.
-------------------------

enblend CVS HEAD currently segfaults
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2027314&group_id=123407&atid=696410
I have tracked this down to a 4-line change and have simply reverted
this change, since I do not speak C++.

Due to my missing C++ skills I am not completely sure whether the update
of debian/patches/type_mismatch.dpatch is necessary, or whether the
patch is simply superfluous now.

Upstream's autoconf tests have changed for the worse, enblend now
links unnecessarily against indirect dependencies although it is not
using libtool. I have patched some of these, but not all of them:
-----------------------
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: dependency on libz.so.1 could be avoided if "debian/enblend/usr/bin/enblend debian/enblend/usr/bin/enfuse" were not uselessly linked against it (they use none of its symbols).
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: dependency on libIlmThread.so.6 could be avoided if "debian/enblend/usr/bin/enblend debian/enblend/usr/bin/enfuse" were not uselessly linked against it (they use none of its symbols).
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: dependency on libImath.so.6 could be avoided if "debian/enblend/usr/bin/enblend debian/enblend/usr/bin/enfuse" were not uselessly linked against it (they use none of its symbols).
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: dependency on libIex.so.6 could be avoided if "debian/enblend/usr/bin/enblend debian/enblend/usr/bin/enfuse" were not uselessly linked against it (they use none of its symbols).
-----------------------

I have done simple tests with hugin (normal panorama, ldr exposure
blending and hdr output.)
